Classes

Our Classes take place on a weekly basis in St Roch's Secondary School, Royston from

7-9pm every Tuesday evening

When Frank McArdle started teaching the Irish Minstrels classes from St Roch's Secondary School in Royston (the school in which he taught professionally) he had one class every second Tuesday. Before long the one class then turned in to two, with a 'Begginers Class' and the 'Big Class'. Over the years the Irish Minstrels have grown in size and we are now in the fortunate position to have classes is many instruments and disciplines with all our teachers being volunteers who are committed to preserving and promoting our traditional culture. Our teaching term starts in September each year following the All-Ireland Fleadh and runs until the end of the school calendar in June.
